You'll need to find a weapon as soon as possible before getting into a fight. House of Hell: Your character is a Ridiculously Average Guy who got stranded in the titular house, full of demon-worshiping cultists and undead monsters, while unarmed and without any default equipment.Fighting Fantasy: A few gamebooks in this series have your player character starting with minimal or no equipment at all.Notably: in Book 2, after you get shipwrecked in Book 5, 9 and 17, if Lone Wolf has to get out of jail and unavoidably in Book 7, Castle Death, when thrown into The Maze. Of course, you're still a psionic badass. This can happen every couple of books early on in the series Lone Wolf.Sure, you can find some new weapons, armors and magic along the way, but none of the usual fare until the next book. The hero Pip is accidentally sent to ancient Greece instead of Avalon, and starts out with none of the usual equipment, nor the numerous magical items that could have been gathered during the three precedent books, including Excalibur Junior. The whole book 4 of the GrailQuest series, Voyage of Terror.So, is this really just an eye-adjustment simulation (Skyrim is epic!) or a glitch? If it is a glitch, are there any good ways to fix it? Google was most uncooperative, though it may just be that I'm a bit rusty at digging out information like this.
This is comparable to the real world effect of coming into a dark room from the sunlight and having things come into view as your eyes adjust. Things then proceed to get brighter and come into view. I've noticed that when looking from a bright area to a dark area, for instance, when looking from the candle-lit area around a dining table to the shelves around the back, the area is horribly dark and things are barely visible. Now that you have the background, on to the real issue. The game is very playable for the most part. I've also reduced the resolution to 1280 x 720. Furthermore, I've turned off Anisotropic Filtering and Antialiasing. I've got no mods installed and I have set the graphics to medium. This is quite on the low end, I should think. I've been ignoring such issues assuming them to be due to using a Laptop with 4GB RAM and an ATI Mobility Radeon 5000 series card and an Intel Core i5 2.40 GHz dual core. While playing Skyrim, I've noticed many problems with shadows, for instance, sometimes, a shadow will form strips instead of a solid area on shadowed surfaces.
